I think this is the single piece of anime-related fanart I am most pleased with... It was done sometime in 2001, I believe, during the period when I was without a scanner. I got so frustrated at not being able to scan any of my fanart on paper that I started drawing with my mouse instead. I got into coloring after getting sick of twitchy black & white lines, and was playing around with trying to color in Corel Photopaint without it leaving blotches as I dragged the brush around... and I decided to start smearing over the existing color to smooth it out.

This was the first and most successful of my attempts, and I just about gave myself carpal tunnel syndrome doing it.

I love that! He's one of my favorite male anime characters so much that I had to make a fanfic about him. That's drawn and colored very well! That angle of his face reminds me of the last closeup of his face just before he started to disappear. *applaudes for great art*

Aww, thanks ^^ I used to have an enormous SM fanfic project going but it kind of got shelved when I had to concentrate on schoolwork my senior year of uni. Is your fanfic about him posted here or somewhere else? I'd like to read it...
